The best film I saw in the cinema last year - out of 107 films - was this one. Can't believe Americans are so uninterested in food and romance, that no label has yet bothered to release it Stateside. I would have thought that Criterion, at the very least, would have put it out on their Janus Contemporaries label. But no - they only currently seem to be focusing on releasing stuff, which already has two of three previous high definition releases out....

And right now I'm preparing Pot-au-Feu, for this weekend. Have invited a bunch of friends round to see the movie and will feed them the dish, which forms an integral part of the story, after the film!
