This is such a great film! I still have a 1974 35mm release print in my collection! Last I viewed it the color was still holding up, but a little faded (which is amazing because by all rights it should be completely pink). This is one BD that I'll be getting.

Lots of new extras on this one and I didn't get the first Blu so I'm in. This is one of the best films of the 1970's Robert Shaw has incredible screen presence in this movie.

I would also like to know if this will be a better transfer than the 2011 BD release.

I was thrilled with the idea of THE TAKING OF PELHAM ONE TWO THREE on Blu-ray back in 2011, but as I recall, I thought the transfer was just a tad on the dark side. Others suggested that the movie was *supposed* to be dark - and I accept that, but I still think it could stand a little brightening.

Also, wasn't it one of those Best Buy exclusives for its initial entry into the marketplace?

• Interview with Editor Jerry Greenberg
• Audio Commentary by Actor/Filmmaker Pat Healy and Film Historian Jim Healy

I do hope this is better than the 2011 blu ray release, which was much to dark, especially the subway sequences.
