Pop Rocks, easily one of the coolest things ever as a kid, and still pretty cool even by todays standards!

Winning an Academy Award often seems like a death sentence for many careers, not to mention the fact that the Academy gets it wrong nearly as often as they get it right. Lightsabers are definitely "cool" (let's overlook the fact they aren't real....if they were they would be extremely cool) so....

Those "Help I've fallen and I can't get up!" ads - I actually thought those were pretty funny, and I never got into the whole pop rocks thing.

Lightsabers - Definitely cool. Given some of the atrocious Oscars that have been given out, the academy award is somewhat tainted as far as I'm concerned. I'm sure it's still pretty cool to the recipients, but give me a lightsaber anyday. Of course an academy award is still better than getting a Grammy (the ultimate joke award).
