What's the yellow thing up in the sky? [IMG]

Just thought I'd announce that some yellowish object is producing light over here. Just this morning, there was a duck on the bike path I take to work. Now that's something I don't see that often, just the usual deer, groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, etc. The duck is a new one. I also saw a turtle about 500ft from my house, unfortunately, it was squashed as roadkill but a turtle, nonetheless. Even though the nearest lake is about a mile away, must have taken the opportunity to wander a bit while everything was wet.

Speaking of which, here in usually sunny Southern Cal there has been no sign of sun for over a week. It always threatens to rain but it never eventuates - just a gloomy sky all day [IMG], most unusual.

I've taken control of the weather here in L.A. Don't expect to see a lot of sun for the next few months... MWAHAHAAAA! [IMG]

I love this weather. It'll get stank, musty and uncomfortably hot in due time.

I hate it. And this looks like another Los Angeles year-without-a-summer in the making (like 1999 and 1995). People are dressed in sweaters, jackets, and windbreakers, here in Los Angeles in the middle of June. Can't stand it.

I have a cinematographer's eye so besides the cool temps I like the diffused light created by the thick layer of clouds. Also, at this time of year in L.A. the Jacaranda trees bloom with purple explosions that leave the ground covered in purple. I think they look even better against gray skies, more of a contrast.

Give it time, it's still spring after all. The first day of summer isn't until June 21.

During lunch (whilst getting in my friends car) I said "Where the hell is the rain?" Then, In my best captain Kirk voice "What...is...this sun...thing?"

Missing the sun and summer? Come to Phoenix, we have it to spare! Move here, so you will diminish your neighbors property values and inflate mine!
