I have a long running argument with someone about one of the episodes of the Simpsons. I am talking about the season 9 season premiere episode 901 4F22. It's the one where the family goes to New York. I contend that there is a joke in the bus ride on the way to New York where homer has his legs covered up and wakes up and starts hitting his legs because he can't feel them, then a tall guy sitting in the seat behind him stands up and those were really his legs and he had them extended past Homer's seat. Because of September 11 it's pretty obvious they will never show this episode again, but it doesn't matter because they always cut this joke out of the reruns anyway. If anybody taped it when it premeried or has an official tape of this episode that shows that I am right please email me and I would be willing to buy a copy of it. This argument must end. Thanks. At the Simpsons unofficial episode guide site www.snpp.com (where obsessive fans dissect, suck the humour out of, and generally miss the point of The Simpsons), they make reference to it:
Someone by the name of Ben Collins contributes,
... Homer knows how to signal?
... the woman behind Marge at the theatre, struggling to see around her hair?

Groening was interveiwed for a Brit newspaper a few days ago, and stated that the NY episode *will* be shown again and will be on the DVD set.

"Homer Vs. New York" was never banned from television. This was an urban legend...what happened was that some of the major and minor markets pulled it from syndication voluntarily. It has been placed back into syndication runs.

I have seen it without that joke with the legs. I had the original in which that joke was there but syndication eps did not have it at least the one I have on tape does not, they put something in its place.
