On the preview last night for next weeks Simpsons, they say that a character will be leaving the show for good. They did it is a spoofy way "Will it be Homer, Bart, Marge, Lisa or Maggie..or, will it be a reoccuring secondary character and then they show Ralph at the Simpsons door. If this is so, Why would they do this. Ralph is great and is especially popular with female viewers.

They better not get rid of Ralph! There are plenty of other secondary characters that they can get rid of, but Ralph consistently has the funniest lines on the show.

I hope they just used Ralph as an example of a secondary character, not to indicate that if it is a secondary character, that he would be the one to go.

If snpp.com is to be believed, it looks like it could be
    Milhouse.

That would be even worse. Why have they been making detrimental changes to the show like this in the last few years?

Yea don't they understand getting rid of characters will have the opposite effect of what they want?

Um, realize, part of it is:

    (1) Twice the actors literally did die, hard to replace that.
    (2) Some actors do want to move on/do other things

Valid, if we weren't talking about The Simpsons. If an actor left, they'd be taking 5 to 10 characters with them, in most cases.

I can understand death, or an actor quitting. But, what about stuff like Barney giving up drinking, Lisa becoming a Buddhist etc.

"so this is what it feels like when doves cry" that is what I will be saying if Milhouse goes.

Isnt Ralph done by Nancy Cartwright?

Doris Grau, who voiced Lunchlady Doris, passed away in 1995 (I believe it was).

They simply can't get rid of Ralph. He's my favorite psychotic and future career criminal on the show.

Oh yeah, I remeber them talking about it on the Critic commentary, but I didn't know she was on the Simpsons as well. I always thought Tres did the voice of Lunch lady Doris, but now that I think about it (and see the same name), it's all making sense. :b

I think they should kill off Dr. Marvin Monroe, considering that they just resurrected him a few episodes ago. [IMG]
