Well I for one thought it was a bit dull. The jokes weren't all that funny except for Marge's confession about her hair. I think this is losing it's steam. My favorite so far this year is Bart vs. Lisa vs. the Third Grade.

I usually try to find something good in each episode, but could not here. The whole show crawled and left me scratching my head wondering is this all.

I liked most of it except after they dropped the house in the water. And the ending with "Law & Order: Elevator Inspection Unit" was just dull.
But I liked the parodu of the reality shows, and the stuff at the hockey game. [IMG]
Best line was when one of the TV execs said something like "We need a family that's fresh and hasn't been around on TV for years. Get the Simpsons." [IMG]

The third act was kind of silly, but it was still a funny episode.

Not a great episode though, probably the weakest so far this season. Still a great show!!! [IMG]

I could not bring myself to even really smile at this episode. Actually, I take that back: Apu and the Urkle-Os was pretty funny. Overall, though, what happened? Homer isn't a child yet they're still trying to make him one in these past few seasons. And it seems they really can't stick with one plot. It was all over for me. If the show gave up now I wouldn't be mad; I'd be happy. I hate to see a great show go out miserably (which it seems to be).

A few laughs. They really are all over the map these last few seasons. And what the hell was with the last scene with Homer and the hose??

I'd say it was a fairly average episode. Not up to their high standards but typical of the last few years.

And is it me or does Homer cry in every single episode?

I've said it before and I'll say it again: show me your "worst" Simpsons episode and I'll show you a show that is 1000x funnier than anything else on TV! [IMG]

I kinda feel bad for Mr. Groening and the rest of the Simpsons creative team.
They've produced so many great, great shows. God! It must be agony trying to find something fresh & funny for each new program! Especially after coming up with so many good ones in 13 seasons.
It's absolutely AMAZING to me that we've seen THIS many first-rate, truly laugh-out-loud funny episodes in that long length of time on the air.
My beanie is off to The Simpsons creative team! [IMG]
(And don't forget .... Moe is supposed to inherit Homer's rear-end quarters when Homer dies [or goes off the air.]) [IMG]
Moe -- "Homer, can I have your butt when you're gone? It sure looks comfortable. ... Man, that'd look good on me!" [IMG]

Chuck, yeah it was. And I loved the Comic Book Guy's apartment, has that been shown before? He had a model of a ship from "Space: 1999" in the bookshelf, I think. [IMG]
That's how the episodes have been for years and years. I like it.

I found a few laughs in this episode:
"This sucks. How come Lisa gets something and I don't?"
"Because she took the trouble to wander away and talk to a stranger."
"They go to pieces over nothing. They're perfect for reality TV."
"Telegram for Haywood U. Cuddleme." After all of Bart's prank phone calls over the years, this made me laugh. [IMG]

Well I thought the whole episode was hilarious. My GF and I both watch those "Pioneer" survivor shows so it was a total laugh when they went on it. And didn't anybody notice that OFF went "normal" after a while?

As for the scatterbrained episode approach, I don't mind it.

"I wouldn't sign a contract unless it had one of those red pointer thingies."
    "You mean like this?"
"Doh! Hey--where do you get those things...?"
