I understand the Sandlot will be coming to DVD at the end of this month in a new "family friendly" line from Fox. I was wondering, with this new family line, does Fox plan on releasing this movie edited for content? and also is this movie going to be released in P&S?[IMG] . I desperately desire to own this movie on DVD but I will refuse to purchase it with these two restrictions imposed. Thanks.

I'm not sure about the edited for content part. However a review I read states that the disc is dual sided and contains both Widescreen and P&S.

    Hope that helps.

I doubt it's edited. It's being released under their "Family Features" banner, which is a carry-over from their VHS line and is nothing new. don't really recall there being anything objectionable in the film in the first place...

    Great film though...

It is a great film, although I don't know why a layer or a side is being devoted to chopping off 50% of the image of this great 2.35:1 film.
