From IMDB:
"Director/Co-Writer George Miller was given the rights to Mad Max 2 The Road Warrior and Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome to get him to step aside as the director of Contact (1997)."

Is this true?
Does anyone know anymore about this?

Yea, some are dubbed. And most of the dubbing sounds better IMHO than the original actors. Humungus's dub is much better.

I do hope there is a SE in the works. RW is my all time favorite movie and needs the SE treatment.

my brother got me the se of mad max 1 for christmas.. I was able to find a used copy of the road warrior dvd. it was one of the first dvds released.. seem fine to me. no extras

I don't own mad max 3.. but I did rent it a long time ago. the dvd edition that is.

with regards to Mad Max (and a bit off topic I know) but if you have a multi-region player get the Australian R4 DVD, no extra's, the DD5.1 is better than the R1 DD BUT it also has FULL BIT RATE DTS and it kicks serious ass especially whenever cars or guns are on screen.....:)
