Am I imagining things or was Rocco saying that the show will be back on next summer? *shudder*
and yes, this show could not be more "scripted".
That table full of cougars was freaking me out. I don't know how Lon was able to handle it.
That table with the little kid was really freaky as well. Frankie is a pretty interesting kid. The one bit when Frankie offered his sister in trade to Rocco for the waitress was so cute as the little girl squealed "Frankieeee".

Well, IMO that child was incredibly annoying, rude and most likely was fed most of those lines (in particular when he was "chatting up" the three waitresses at the door).

Small edit to clarify my last statement

Well, the show was back on last night.

I love this show... and the new angle of the management of the Restaurant being taken over by the owner pretty interneting (Rocco looked PISSED), and I can totally see where the owner is coming from if Rocco has really lost $600,000 on the place (and has business cards that cost $1.80 each, LOL).

Rocco seems to have lost his mind to celebrity-itis. Shouldn't he be at the Restaurant when its open?

No wonder management is freakin'.

Will Drew ever find a job again after his 2-episode stint on "The Restaurant"? What a self-righteous idiot. For now, being young and dumb is one thing, but if he becomes old and stupid, he has no one else to blame but himself.

How many frikkin' book signings does Rocco do a week?

I still think Rocco sounds like Seymour Butts on "Family Business", and when he mentioned "600 money shots" (food porn) in last week's episode, the vocal similarities got even closer. :)

Since the Restaurant is only open for dinner, couldn't Rocco schedule all his signing/appearances for daytime (through 5pm) and then go to the restaurant and be able to STAY?

Drew kept saying,he gives respect when he recieves respect.

"Well Drew YOU ARE AN INTERN! you don't get respect or any thing else for that matter unless told otherwise." lol.

Man was that funny when he called Rocco CAPT. DOUCHEBAG.

Poor kid must've never been respected a day in his life and uses his mantra to defend the fact that he's a bastard to everyone he comes in contact with. Still, I'm a bit surprised they got rid of him so quickly, he was a character you love to hate and I'm sure the show's producers were hoping to keep him around for more drama.

Not that Rocco is behaving in a more mature manner. He just says the opposite of what Jeffery tries to tell him in the manner of a teen pissed that he's getting yelled at by his parents for staying out past curfew.

Drew's an idiot - period.

Rocco (either through reality or good editing or both) comes off as an egotistical idiot. He's also a two face guy. Telling his partner "yeah, I wanna make this work, etc." and immediately getting on his mobile phone and telling whoever was on the other line just the opposite.

I have to believe this is scripted. If not, how'd Rocco's other restuarant survive? I agree about the book signings too, why at night?

This series is a testament to great editing and "loose scripting". Mark Burnett has proven his ability to create tension, drama and comedy simply from hours and hours of camera tapes. This show appears to be "scripted" in the sense that events are clearly set into play and characters are guided though editing and some level of coaching. Survivor is proof that a character can be "shaped" each week simply by selective editing and amount of airtime.

I am becoming convinced Burnett and crew could create a breakout reality show which simply documented paint drying.

If I were Rocco, I would have gone down to the restaurant right then and dragged that little bitch out of the place by his earlobe and thrown him onto the curb. Then again, I have a pretty short temper. :p)

I liked when he told the doorman "if he comes back, shoot him!" :D

Poor Mama, she is going to get sick again because of all of the tension in the restaurant.

Most definitely because Rocco spent more time cooking, watching over the other chefs, making the menu, etc., rather than promoting himself!!

The only thing I hear about Roccos (from a few good friends who have eaten there) is that the food is fair at best and expensive for what it is.

I was under the impression that Geoff always handled the money parts of Rocco's other establishments but Rocco wanted this one to be different. Or is this the first time Rocco has partnered with Geoff?

When is Rocco gonna fire that gossiping waitress, no one would know anything if it wasn't for her big mouth. Who am I kidding, there's always someone to take the gossib spreaders place.

I thought the bartender was extremely rude to the new guy, even if he was a jackass. Who chews gum on the first day of their job!?! I loved when Drew got busted serving drinks underage from behind the bar. good times.

so what, he did his time and paid his so-called debt to society. I hate when these websites bring up completely unrelated past events in a persons life.

Ironically, I believe the rendition of Braniff that Jeffery ran was the third iteration - the one that was used at the end of the "South Park" episodes by Matt/Trey (Braniff has been in and out of business three times)
