Can anyone please let me know the OAR of this film? Since it was made in 1954 there is a good chance it was filmed in the Academy Standard of 1:37. However, MGM inserted the usual " Modified to fit your screen " and now I am wondering. The framing looks suspect so I am hoping it was not 2:35 or all I can say is: Thanks MGM!

I just got it as well. The framing looks fine and there does not to be anything cropped.......but there's still that "modified" disclaimer. hmmmm

Though, United Artists distributed this film in the States, the film is a British production filmed in Britain and the Far East. I seriously doubt the movie was filmed in a widescreen process and certainly not at 2.35 ratio.
