Fun film. Jean Arthur as “Calamity Jane.”

Gives viewers a chance to compare her to Doris Day as a more musical variant, or the wonderful Robin Weigert, who not only seems to have played her closer to life, but along with most of the other characters, can be identified by smell when onscreen.

I love this film! It's one of my all-time 100 favorite westerns that I'm currently revisiting. Needless to say, I won't be revisiting this movie until I watch this upcoming Kino Blu-ray. Arthur and Cooper were great in this film.
