Happy new year everyone.
I have a quick question and was wondering if anyone has any help or advice.
I have just received a shiny new TV. ✨
My current setup up is as follows:
Surround sound system connected to new TV via HDMI Arc on surround sound system to eArc on TV.
Dvd player Hdmi to TV and PS5 to TV with Hdmi.
Do I/should I purchase a Cat3 2.1 Hdmi cable for each of the devices as I am not sure what Cat the Hdmi cables I already have.
I have asked this on the sony forum but the only response was a download able product price list, lol.
How have you guys set up?
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

The only think you might want to do is make sure the audio signal is making it to your receiver as intended (and not being processed by the TV). Most receivers have an 'Info' button; so while you're playing a known hi-res source (from cable, streaming, or DTS-HD disc), see if your receiver sees the hi-def audio signal.
FWIW, the "standard" way of connecting the components is to route everything through the receiver and just send the video to the TV. But if all the components are cooperating (eArc between TV and receiver is a big part of that) then it really doesn't matter.

Thank you for that
