For those planning trips there, just don't go in the water. Recent video of a great white grabbing a seal not far from the shoreline on Nantucket. They say there are an estimated 800 great white sharks in the Cape Cod area at this time of year. Unlike in 1975, the sharks are now common to the area as the seal population has exploded in past decades.

Tino's posted image in the prior post sort of reminds me of Mort Drucker's work in Mad Magazine.

I am not familiar with Paul Garner Monster Art, but Etsy has a number of his works in this style. (I think the Jaws poster is one of the better works.)

I saw Jaws in a theater last night and went with a friend who had never seen the movie before. The usual suspects scared her (Ben Gardner's head and the shark's appearance before "You're gonna need a bigger boat.") but I was surprised that her biggest jump was when the shark popped up as Hooper and Quint were pulling in the rope on the barrels.

Did she like the film? I remember the days when I turned a few people onto Pulp Fiction- fun to get others excited about good films.

Oh yeah, she liked it alot. However, I doubt she has the refined taste of people like me or Tino so she probably won't watch it several hundred times and memorize every line of the movie.

I just spoke to a very nice lady at the Martha’s Vineyard Chamber Of Commerce inquiring if there’s an official date(s) for JAWS 50th anniversary celebration and she said there is no official dates announced yet.

There will most likely be multiple events hosted by multiple organizations.

I’m still thinking it will be around June 20 2025 so that’s what I’m going with.

On another note just received the Lego Jaws set a couple of days ago. Looking forward to putting it together. There is also a really cute Jaws movie done with Legos on the product page. Worth checking out.
