His wife/Girlfriend is gorgeous


I don’t think it’s a surprise that he won.

Here are my predictions for tonight's Oscars. I tried to pick the ones I think will win, not necessarily the ones I want to win (some wants noted in parenthesis). Let's see if I do better this year.

* Best Picture: Green Book (but rooting for ASiB)
* Actor: Rami Malek
* Actress: Glenn Close (but rooting for Gaga)
* Supporting Actor: Mahershala Ali
* Supporting Actress: Regina King
* Director: Spike Lee
* Documentary Feature: Free Solo
* Documentary Short: Period. End of Sentence.
* Original Screenplay: Green Book
* Adapted Screenplay: BlacKkKlansman (but rooting for ASIB)
* Animated Feature: Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse
* Animated Short: Bao
* Live-Action Short: Skin
* Foreign Language: Roma
* Cinematography: Roma
* Visual Effects: First Man (but rooting for Ready Player One)
* Original Score: BlacKkKlansman
* Original Song: Shallow - A Star is Born
* Film Editing: Bohemian Rhapsody
* Sound Mixing: Bohemian Rhapsody

Wait?! The Academy thinks Olivia Colman's performance in "The Favourite" was better than Glenn Close's or Lady Gaga's? What is going on??? Granted, her performance was amazing, but was it really that much better than the other two? I'm stunned!

In Entertainment Weekly's survey of anonymous Oscar voters I linked a few days ago, 3 of the 6 voters they polled said they were voting for Colman for Actress, so it's not a complete surprise. She seemed to have a lot of support.

Yup, after all the plans to make the show shorter they cancel all those plans and still end up with one of the shortest broadcasts in recent history.
