Well, the gang makes it to TJ, but one might not make it back. The cliffhanger was a little too melodramatic (I have no doubts that Marisa will make it through). Glad Luke's true colors were exposed.

Now Sandy and the lady lawyer, there be sparks flying with their contentious and antagonistic past, and just in time as Jimmy puts the moves on Kirsten.

Summer and Seth make a funny couple. The scene at breakfast was cliched, but still humorous. (And she's "into" anime, heh heh).

I sure hope I don't forget about this show and miss its return.

Did I hear correctly on the previews for the return ep. where Kirsten tells her family that she won't be staying there for awhile? Maybe she tells Sandy what happened and he blows up on her. Maybe I just heard wrong.

Living close to the Texas/Mexico border during my high school days, this episode brought back some memories of my nights partying down in Mexico. I sincerely doubt that the new "it" girl will be out of commission for any period of time, but it should be a good return episode. Wonder if the weeks preceding the return will have late night reruns of the initial 6 episodes to let people catch up, or remember what the fuss is all about. Great show.

In addition to having like the fifth fist fight, that's the second time Ryan has picked up an incapacitated Marissa off the ground and carried her somewhere.

My hair never looks that good right when I wake up.

I'm betting there are plenty of people over at TWOP that wouldn't mind if Marissa didn't come back. Lots of snarky people over there [IMG]

I'm guessing they don't kill her. Unless this is an Angel-like ploy, which I doubt, it's far to early to be killing anyone off.

Good episode but the end was a bit over dramatic.
Summer and seth had a lot of the best lines in my opinion.
Clever how they didnt show Marissa in any of the previews for the return but not good that they didnt say to check it out on The New Night.
They are going to need all the press they can get up against Will and Grace and CSI.

Was reading today what was going to happen on upcoming episodes.

    Spoilers....

    * Marissa is not committed to an asylum (following her summer-ending O.C.O.D.), and Ryan is somehow not denied access to Seth and Marissa’s big-deal private high school (despite Ryan’s efforts to save Marissa from said asylum).

    * Ryan and Luke are chosen at random to become history-project partners, destined to collaborate – unexpectedly!!! – on a report about the Spanish Inquisition. Get it? Get it? “Unexpectedly”? “Spanish Inquisition”?

    * Luke’s cries of “Suck it, queer!” in the series pilot take on new shadings when we learn his divorced dad may enjoy all manner of butt piracy.

    * There’s a joke that, not unpredictably, references “Queer Eye For The Straight Guy.”

    * Despite her trouble with series regular Jimmy, Julie Cooper remains a recurring “O.C.” character, and even bonds a bit with Kristin Cohen over Christmastime shenanigans.

But it's horrible spot because there's a lot of traffic in that timeslot (Angel, The Bachelor, The West Wing).

The O.C. might have be able to go against CSI due to its younger demographics and still come up with the ratings. But Fox got chicken.

Too bad Fox is too scared to put Joe Millionaire up against The Bachelor at the Wednesday 9 p.m. timeslot, and pair up The O.C. and Skin on Monday nights.

FOX thought this would be a good move?
Why dont they just cancel it now. Geez.

The pairup with Skin would have been good.

THe old timeslot was probably a bad idea, but I don't want it up against Angel. I think Monday probably would have been a better choice.

I cant wait. I hope it does well enough in the ratings so that it stays on.
Theres also an article at usatoday.com about the show and how realistic it is.
Who wants realism on a show like this? [IMG]

I really enjoyed tonight's episode. This is definitely one of the best guilty pleasures on tv. I'll be watching this every week. I can't say that about too many shows at the moment.

    Very good episode.
    Julie is the Abby (Knot's Landing)of O.C.
A Bitch but one you love to hate!

Seth had the best dialogue as usual.

Seems like it did pretty good in the ratings too considering what it was up against. It beat out Angel which is a good thing.
