I am currently in Hong Kong for a 3 day getaway. Because Onkyo is overpriced in Taiwan, where I reside, I plan to buy the Onkyo 6XX receiver and bring it back to Taiwan. The dilemma is that Hong Kong uses 220V and Taiwan, just like the US, uses 110V. The older 602 has a voltage selector at the back of the receiver, so I only need to get a switch coverter to use it in Taiwan. However, the newer 603 does not have the voltage selector meaning I would have to get a step up/down voltage transformer (110V to 220V for around 700 W), which cost around USD 80

The difference between the two models are the increase in power by 5 watts per channel and more digital inputs, which I do not need. Would you choose the older 602 or the newer 603 and get a transformer? Please help!!!

Price difference? If there is really no feature difference, I would think price which I assume the 602 wins. Does the 603 have pre-outs? HDMI? 5 watts just wouldn't be enough incentive IMO.
