Are there any other NYI fans out there? I've been a fan since the 70s, and I've had to wait a long time for a decent team again.

I'm not a NYI fan but I am glad to see the resurgence of the Flames this year
sure i realize it won't last for more than a week, but damn if it doesn't feel good to be rooting for a winning team.
I'm liking the way that the islanders are playing this year tho...I pretty much love to see any underdog team do well tho.

I'm also glad to see the Islanders (Flames too) doing well. I am wishing only the best for Osgood, who was tossed aside like yesterday's Free Press (local paper) after many years of loyal service here in Hockeytown.
(course, getting Hasek goes a long way in taking my mind off Osgood )

Mark, yeah its been good to see Calgary doing good this year too. I hope they can keep it up. I could easily cheer for them in the west.

Well, I was an Islander fan, but once Mike Mil-butthead became GM, I drifted away from the team slowly. I vowed not to cheer for the team until he was gone. Course he made good off-season additions, so maybe I shut cut a little slack for this year, but all those BAD moves ...
It is very good to see the Flames playing well so far this year.
