At www.sherwoodusa.com there's info on the 2002 Sherwood Newcastle products that are going to be introduced at the 2002 CES in Vegas. Their new 7.1 preamp, the P-958, will be available in September 2002 and among other features it will have bass management for DVD-A and SACD.

For those who can wait until September to get a pre/pro I'm hopeful that by then there will be a few more pre/pro's in the Sherwood price range, perhaps from Sony, Yamaha or Rotel. I'm looking forward to hearing about any price-appropriate pre/pro plans from these and other vendors when CES gets underway, in under two weeks.
