The Mummy's Curse aspect ratio (1 Viewer)

I just bought the new Mummy set from Universal and when I got to the last film in the bunch, The Mummy's Curse, a disclaimer appeared before the movie stating that the filmed had been modified from it's original version and was formatted to fit my screen....is this a bogus disclaimer??....I can't help but think this film was meant to be 1:33 full frame like the rest


anyone know any different?

It's a mistake. The film was released in 1944, which pre-dates the widescreen process by... what, ten years?

I'll just ignore that little disclaimer next time......wonder how that slipped by in the first place
