I was just looking around at Deep Discount and found The Matrix Revisited on DVD? This IS the sequel to the first Matrix right? Or is it just something related to the original movie somehow.
Someone please clear this up for me, I'm really getting confused about this now. [IMG] .......Wil

    Will,
So you really think Matrix 2 would go to DVD before reaching the theaters? [IMG]
Matrix Revisted is just more "extras" for the first movie.

[IMG] As stated above, Re-visted is a spin off DVD of supplemental material, actually not just related to the first movie, but the franchise as a whole (there will be stuff about the making of the sequel and anime cartoon on there).

    Greetings and Salutations
No, Don't worry. The Matrix 2 will be in theatres eventually.
As already said, Matrix Revisited is just extras to go with the first movie.
    Regards,
    Ricky

The Matrix Reloaded is the name of the 2nd film...due in 2003 (maybe late 2002).

The Matrix sequel is Reloaded, not Revisited.

You guys heard about the title for The Matrix 3, too, right? This came out recently.....apparently it's going to be called The Matrix Revolutions.

Why is Matrix 2 being pushed up to 2003? Doesn't want to compete with Star Wars next year?

I am not sure Dave but If I got to decide the release date, I would not compete against STAR WARS.
I would wait and find a date without no big competition, That means more money to be made

I have a question about the packaging for Matrix Revisited. I already have the original Matrix dvd and I would like both disks to be in the same package. How exactly will this dvd come? Will it be in a box that has space for The Matrix dvd case? Or will it come in a snapper (or dual dvd keepcase) that has space for 2 DVD's? Or will it just be a stand-alone snapper case?

    Dave,
Matrix 2 was delayed to 2003 because of shooting delays. Part of the delays came from Mr. Reeves when he took time off due to the death of his girl friend. The other delay was from Mr. Fishborne getting injured and with Aalaya's death.

Anyone else hear about the working title Burleyman?
They were filming in Oakland a while back, and everyone said it was Matrix 2, but signs said "Matrix 2:Burleyman"
Have they changed it since then?

Matrix 2 will be out May 2003. I totally think it can compete with Star Wars because if the Matrix and Ep 1 were to face off, Stars Wars would get the bigger amount on the first week but then it would all go Matrix. As for the Burleyman thing. It's just signs they put up when filming. Like when Titanic was being made, it had signs that said PLanet Ice. It's just something they do but I know there is some reason behind it.

I don't remember her name offhand, but I read that The Oracle died recently too, although she had apparently finished most of her work.

While we're on the topic, anyone know what the direction the plot moves in this next movie?

Does anyone know if the "proper" trailer for the Matrix will be accessible from standalone DVD players on the revisited disk? This is one thing that pissed me about the original disk is the lack of a trailer that can be accessed by a DVD player. And what is the packaging going to be? I want both disks in the same case.
