i'm beginning to fell like the juggies have left:frowning:
get over it, this is a tv comedy seriesYet the Osbournes had a Censored version (which was what we saw on tv) and an uncensored version.
So why not an uncensored "Man Show"?
Yet the Osbournes had a Censored version (which was what we saw on tv) and an uncensored version.Well firstly, that's MTV and Man Show is Comedy Central. Secondly, Osbournes only had uncensored audio, as the Man Show does apparently. From what I recall, the Osbournes still had the visual stuff blurred out. (However, I could be wrong, cause I would never look for this to begin with)
I really don't understand what the big deal is here. Are you buying this for it's entertainment value, or for nudity?
From what I recall, the Osbournes still had the visual stuff blurred out.Correct. And, my joking comment earlier in this thread about what's under the logo aside, I love this show for the comedy. If I want to see naked girls, I'll buy an adult DVD (which I have zero of in my collection). IMO the great thing about this show is the sophomoric humor. Having uncensored audio is enough of a plus for me. Mine's already shipped from the e-tailer from which I ordered it. Can't wait.
From what I recall, the Osbournes still had the visual stuff blurred out.Yes they did, but you were able to see the fully uncensored Ozzy butt in the extras!
Well, maybe that's NOT a good thing :frowning: But having the unblurred nudity of the man show DVD would be a start.
Well firstly, that's MTV and Man Show is Comedy Central.Insomniac: Volume 1 is uncensored (w/ nudity and cursing)... that's a Comedy Central show!
I want to see the invisible swimsuit
Insomniac: Volume 1 is uncensored (w/ nudity and cursing)... that's a Comedy Central show! The difference being Insomniac was released by Comedy Central Home Video. The Man Show isn't, it's being released by Red Distribution, I think, is the name of the company.
The difference being Insomniac was released by Comedy Central Home Video.Scott, I'm not trying to sound like a smart-ass (I just didn't understand what your post means), but what's the difference? Why would it matter who released it?
I'm saying that Comedy Central may be more apt to release a show uncensored on DVD than the company that's releasing the Man Show.Right
I'm saying that Comedy Central may be more apt to release a show uncensored on DVD than the company that's releasing the Man Show.Comedy Central already has a stake in the DVD. The DVD is distributed by Eagle Vision in cooperation with Comedy Central and Stone Stanley Entertainment, the latter being the production company. The DVD carries the imprint of all three companies. Since Stone Stanley, the company that actually produces the show for Comedy Central, is involved, one assumes that the DVD presentation has been done according to its wishes.
* For those of you interested in The Man Show: Be aware that this is EXACTLY the same as the television presentation. Nothing uncensored here, not even the cover (when you slide off the bellyband it reveals crossed arms over the goodies).Completely FALSE AND INNACURATE statement...
having just gone through the whole set...from what I saw and heard the show does not have any of the profanity bleeped out
as far as blurring effects on body parts
here is what you are missing....
Disc 1 Episode 102 ...unattractive girl on the street who stips down naked has face and private parts blocked out during Jimmy Kimmel's "Will You Have Sex With Me" man on the street segment ***
(repeated on Disc 3 episode 110 Best Of Episode)
Disc 2 Episode 109 ...Star Wars geeks faces are blurred out at Phantom Menace opening ***
Episode 106 ...Adam's privates are blurred out when he gets naked in front of his mom on the beach in the night of romance with mom segment
(repeated on Disc 3 episode 110 Best Of Episode)
*** both incidents most likely having to do with legal clearance issues
Like I have said before in other threads on this forum, this show is about comedy and not nudity (if you are looking for that there are many better sources). Let me be perfectly clear on this, this package does not compromise anything unless of course you are a huge fan of seeing Adam naked from the bottom down when in reality I'm sure he was covered under the blurring effect. If you have a case to make about censorship your time and effort would be better spent somewhere else.
That's what the Man Show taps into, and being uncensored is what it's really all about. Censored video is disappointing, especially from their taped skits in studio.Has it occurred to you that perhaps the creators of the show actually never intended for the nudity to be "uncensored" in the same way that the swearing is deliberatly bleeped in South Park? Perhaps Comedy Central is prohibited from unblurring the nudity by contractual arrangement with the women involved?
