Anyone else catch the premiere of "The Lyon's Den"?

I thought it did a good job of just diving right in (pardon the pun) and set up a lot of conflicts between ambition and responsibilities that is foisted upon the less ambitious. It's definitely hit the ground running. Plus, I will probably watch anything with Elizabeth Mitchell in it.

I chuckled at the line "I'm not into politics."

I watched it mostly for the guest stars (Rip Torn and Robert Picardo). It was entertainingly constructed trash TV, although there were a few awkward moments. The lunch meeting between Lowe and Torn, with its rapid fire of legal jargon barked back and forth as if these were E.R. doctors, was a bit much, as was the firm meeting. But I liked it enough to give it another week's viewing.

I think I'd like it better if they just restricted themselves to the office and its workings rather than dragging in melodramatic court cases that weren't very interesting. I'll give it a few more episodes, but it needs to improve some.
