I presume it'll be next October or November, the same as the R1 release.

...not especially - although I do have a respectable collection of French DVDs of French and non-French but French-co-produced[°] movies... my post was merely inended to show what the French scheduled release date for "The Lion King" was - and if you think or hope that it will appear 'sooner' than that in the UK you may be in for a bitter disappointment...
([°]...e.g. the Russian-French-Italian-Czech-British The Barber Of Siberia and the French-Russian-Bulgarian East-West and the Belgian-French-Slovenian-British-Italian No Man's Land and the French-Polish-Israeli Voyages to name but a few...)

It'll be around October Worldwide. They've oddly skipped Aladdin, so you're actually getting Lion King sooner than you would have anyway. It's going to be the exact same deal as Beauty and the Beast... IMAX Lion King is released worldwide in December, then the DVD will come next autumn.
