I pre-ordered this on the internet two weeks ago. It is the edition with the book and the character sketches in a fetching black book.

It disappeared from the Play website about a week ago.

I preordered it from Movietyme two weeks ago - the first time I have ever used them. It stayed on "Ordered" for over a week, and I sent an email to them questioning it. They replied saying it was "out of stock" but then immediately put my order on to "Processing" which means my card has been charged. It has now been on "Processing" for nearly two weeks.

Does this edition exist, has anyone got it, and should I just wait, or go somewhere else?

Yes, it does exist. I saw it at Target during it's release week. Forgot the price though. Good luck.

Yep, thats the one.

And they have in stock.

Nice one, thanks!

Maybe I shall cancel my order with Movietyme and get it from Amazon.......

Let me just say that I am a Disney nut.
I typically do the preorder and get the Disney lithographs
with the Disney DVD's from a nearby Disney store.
I was NOT impressed with this collector's set.
The sketched are small, the size of a dvd case,
not the size of a typcial litograph.
The sketch is a reproduction of a SKETCH,
not a finished cel picture.
The book is small, also the size of a dvd case,
remember that all of it has to fit into the slipcase
that is the same size of standard Lion King DVD case.
The text of the book does go into the making of the
Lion King, music, art, animal studies, etc.
The pictures that the text is superimposed over IS
mostly pictures take from the movie.

If you love the Lion King, I would recommend getting
the standard DVD and get the real book "The Art of
Lion King" by Christopher Finch. A 190+ pages of GREAT
artwork, both concept and finished designs.
It can be found used $15 - $20.

mmmmmmmmm.

So not the quality of the fantastic ET limited edition then? :frowning:

You've really disappointed me now - but thanks for the info!

Never heard of this book, but I'll check it out....

Personally, I am a sucker for limited collectors set, so I will leave the pre-order in for a bit in the vague hope that Movietyme will sort it out.

This is the first and last time I will ever order from them, though.
