Thursday night, 7 pm. I don't love Pattinson, but what the heck...why not. I need a good "scary" movie for Halloween.
I had never seen Pattinson on screen before, and he is actually superb here. It's a technically beautiful movie. And the performances are mesmerizing.

Pattinson's even good when he's in bad movies (Twilight) but I highly recommend Good Time which is a fantastic movie and he's fantastic in it.

The only other thing I've seen him in is the first Twilight. That was enough to turn me off to every actor in the film.

Saw this on Sunday and liked it a lot. Loved the 3:3 framing and the black and white, contributed to the claustrophobic atmosphere. Dafoe and Pattinson are really good, essential when they basically carry the movie for almost two hours.

1.19 framing as in the beginning of the talkies when the soundtrack was on the exposed film.

I saw this over the weekend and really liked. I agree with the comment above that the use of black-and-white and narrow framing really added to the claustrophobic feel. There were some humorous moments which helped to build the tension as things start to look better and then get worse between the two characters. I'm looking forward to the home video release as I think this will benefit from a couple of viewings.

Absolutely loved this. Oscar noms are out and only nommed for Cinematography. DaFoe got robbed, this was the best acting I have ever seen. Screenplay got robbed.

Agree, 100% this was one of the most wonderful screenplays in a long time. It is very much set-up like a play with the two characters playing off each other in a small space. DaFoe just kills it in this picture. Not sure any actor would have nailed that dialogue the way he does. Shame on failing to nominate his acting and this script.
