    Hah!

    Alf said, "hard on."

You don't have to say it. I'm already on my way to Mrs. Rayburn's office.

Rat, rat, rat! That Lumpy knocked my power out the other day and I missed recording a couple of episodes of the Beav . . . including the record club episode I've been waiting to see since I started recording a few months ago! I was already lucky it was being shown at all since MeTV skipped about nine episodes in the previous season.

"Don't bother me, Wally! I'm sailin'!"

You may want to look for a good deal on Shout Factory's complete box set. That's what I did , and you can watch any episode anytime you like . Nice packaging and good bonus features as well - SF did a great job with it .

Lou,Thank you for that write-up above. Often, I end up purchasing various titles when I read such positive comments. :)

If you are seriously considering the complete LITB set...go for it! It is, indeed, an excellent presentation and one of the best TV shows to ever hit the airwaves. A timeless classic.

And I am NOT just giving you the business... :D

Mike,I watched the series often while growing up. And I even saw some of the episodes first-run. This series is on my list for certain. :)

Watched another episode on MeTV today. Lumpy got a scholarship so there was a party at the Cleaver's.Leave it up to Eddie to make a snarky comment. Said something to Mrs. Cleaver like "So nice to hold a party in your small home, makes it feel much more intimate". What a jerk.Always enjoyed the phony innocence of the "perfect" home, but they stirred it up with just a touch of insult comedy. :D

Inspired by the Batgirl theme posted in one of the Batman '66 threads, here is the groundbreaking 1962 single by Jerry "Theodore 'The Beaver' Cleaver" Mathers. Rumor has it hearing this record was the reason Elvis shifted his focus to movies in the '60s (either that, or the Colonel needed the movie money for the Ferrari and that sweet, sweet beach house).

I prefer the show from the "Scrooged" universe: "Father Loves Beaver"

    Sample dialogue:

    Son: Mom, where's dad?
Mom: If I know your father he's out chasing Beaver.
