I have always liked this film. I missed it in theaters, and my first video purchase was a CED disc that skipped as though it was playing hopscotch. The laser was better, but I think it was a CBS/Fox pan-and-scan affair. The first Blu-ray was nothing to brag about, either. The "3D" version was abysmal...a literal atrocity. Whoever did the back peddling on the conversion did a piss-poor job of it., with characters and objects moving to the fore or background arbitrarily, inducing a massive headache. They finally got it right on Blu: The Shout/ITV edition remains the best, IMO. I'll await reviews of the 4K.
