Yeah, the character from the game has an impressive physique. I highly doubt they’ll adapt that aspect and I think they will most likely drop it.

Happy to be wrong though.

It depends on factors beyond just the physical appearance. Frankie Adams never looked to me like what I imagined Bobbie Draper to look like while reading The Expanse novels, but she did a damn fine job of it as the character in the TV series.

It also depends on how committed Dever will be to getting into shape for the role. The Linda Hamilton of Terminator 2's Sarah Connor looked a hell of a lot more impressive than the Linda Hamilton of The Terminator's Sarah Connor.

The Last of Us Part Two is confirmed to be adapted over multiple seasons.

At least two, possibly three. Two seems right to me and three seems to be pushing it. But I’ll need to see where they stop after the 7 episode second season.

I still hate that the game (and thus this series) tries to make Abby out as a protagonist. I hated her with a passion. I guess people are OK with what she does. Her "excuse" is lame, you are allowed to defend yourself when attacked with a scalpel. Trying to keep this vague but if you know, you know.

Just out of curiosity, how many fans of this TV series, played the game? I didn't actually play but watched a detailed walk-through that was very complete.

I’ve played both games multiple times and consider them the best games ever made. At first I hated Abby but now completely lover her and understand her motivations. And the series is tremendous.

Joel wasn't attacked with a scalpel. He had just gone on a murderous rampage through a hospital, and you think the doc should have just cowered. Don't the docs have a right to defend themselves as well? In the show, Joel bust in with a gun drawn, the doc barley steps towards him before Joel shoots him in the head. In the game, the doctor never lunges towards Joel, you always approach him and kill him with your weapon of choice. When I played for the first time, I walked in with no weapons drawn. As I approached the doc, a button prompt appeared over his hand with the scalpel so, I thought I could disarm him. Nope, press the button and Joel grabs the scalpel and stabs the doc in the throat.

Abby's reason is no better than Joels, and Ellie's is no better than Joel or Abby's. One of the big points of this series is the cycle of revenge and how it effects people. I'm not sure watching walkthroughs is good enough to grasp everything the games are saying. When the switch happened in the game, it shocked me and I didn't want to do it but, by the end of the story I completely understood Abby's choices just like I completely understood Ellie's and Joel's.

These are my 2 favorite games of all time.

I don't play console games. I am a mouse/keyboard gamer. So playing it wasn't really an option. Plus, I don't like playing 3rd person games. The walkthroughs I watch are very thorough. I don't see how I would miss anything by being the person holding the controller. I watch this content because I like the stories and action, not because of gameplay.

I don't have to ability to control movies, yet I can still enjoy them. I view this sort of "game" the same way.

This series certainly had a compelling story and great action. And for me to have an emotional reaction to Abby shows the game did a good job of pulling me in.

Abby's dad was getting ready to kill Ellie in Joel's mind. I think most parents would do the same. The moral issue of "is saving the life of many worth killing one person" isn't really the point when it is your own surrogate daughter the one being sacrificed. I don't think it was ever stated it was a certain it would work anyway, but even if it was, it should have been up to Ellie (which I know is a big point in the part 2 story.

Part 1 is available on PC and Part 2 is coming.

I greatly enjoy the immersive experience of actually playing the game. If films were as immersive as games I would love that too.

But hey. Different strokes. Your mileage may vary.

Joel in both the game and show took some pretty ruthless actions that weren’t exactly going to make him friends with some people.

Anyway my ultimate take of TLOU part 2 is that humanity is garbage (that’s not my personal real worldview, but in that game it was)
