Now that The Who are down to two, do you think we'll see this out soon? I know it was supposed to come out a while back but it got shelved for some reason. I'd love this on dvd.

Depends on who owns the rights to it. It's been delayed as much as AHDN. The licensing rights to the songs might be a problem, and the rights to the Rolling Stones RNR Circus may also be a problem. I noticed the EMI VHS tape had the RRC section edited down and it was in mono - even though TV stations were playing it in stereo.

Did anyone else notice the end credits listed songs that were not performed in the theatrical cut?

The movie is in the process of a restoration right now. Unfortunately, many of the clips which make up the movie are in different locations & their quality is generally not so good. It may take some time to do it right...but I hope that it is done right.

I'll gladly wait for the DVD done right. The LaserDisc was so intolerably bad sounding I gave it away.

Did you have the BMG Special edition? I didn't think it was that bad.....well compared to the tape (recorded from TV) and the crappy theaters that played it as midnight movies.
I noticed on my there was lots of little lights which I have a feeling is the start of laser rot
I was at a wedding when John died. It really put me in a funk.
Mind you I specifical flew to London to see them do Quadrophonea and even have every Entwhistle solo album. I didn't see them when the Roger & Pete played SF but the newspaper review was actually very good.
Said it sort of kicked them in their ass...raw but good.
Still hard to believe they started playing again so quickly

No new information yet, but at least it's on the way. The DTS logo is on the cover, but that may not be the actual final cover...

Well, that domain name seems to actually be registered to Pioneer Entertainment, so maybe there's hope.

    [IMG] Great news!
It's also good to see we have at least a few WHO fans on HTF. [IMG]
