Catchy tune from the early 2000's.

Supposed to be the next MACARENA but never
    quite made it.

I want to buy this on CD. There are two versions
    pending on the artist....

    LAS KETCHUP
    ASEREJE

Which version have they been playing on the
    U.S. dance stations?

    Thanks in advance

My 3 year old daughter just loves this song. Here is the version of the cd that I have, but it doesn't have the "spanglish" version of the song which is probably the one played on the radio.

    Import Version

It did come with a DVD that included a couple of music videos which my daughter dances to over and over. [IMG]

This is the one that does include the "spanglish" version.
    Version 2

Both CD's come with multiply versions of the song. They also both include a version called Asereje Hippy, which seems to be a dance version.

You could always try to download the MP3 of the different versions to see if it's the one you want.

And just to clarify, The group is called Las Ketchup and the song is Asereje

Having Mannequin in my DVD collection suddenly no longer seems as bad as it did. [IMG]

This made the VH1's top 5 for "Most Awesomely Bad Songs"
    http://www.vh1.com/shows/dyn/50_most...ountdown.jhtml

The web page doesn't show the top 5, but the Macarena was in there as well. [IMG]

p.s. if you have an iTunes account, you can get it there. Just do a search for "Asereje" and you'll get 7 versions.

They're definitely not saying that. [IMG]

The funny thing is no one know what they're saying in the chorus, because it's not English or Spanish.

If you've heard the song, the chorus might sound familiar to you because it "inspired" by the Sugar Hill Gang's "Rapper's Delight". I'm embarrassed to know so much about the song. :b

    friday night it's party time
    feeling ready looking fine,
    viene diego rumbeando,
with the magic in his eyes
    checking every girl in sight,
grooving like he does the mambo
he's the man alli en la disco,
    playing sexy felling hotter,
he's the king bailando et ritmo ragatanga,
and the dj that he knows well,
on the spot always around twelve,
plays the mix that diego mezcla con la salsa,
y la baila and he dances y la canta

    [Chorus:]
aserejè ja de jè de jebe tu de jebere seibiunouva,
majavi an de bugui an de buididipi,
aserejè ja de jè de jebe tu de jebere seibiunouva,
majavi an de bugui an de buididipi

    many think its brujeria,
    how he comes and disappears,
    every move will hypnotize you,
    some will call it chuleria,
others say that its the real,
    rastafari afrogitano

he's the man alli en la disco,
    playing sexy felling hotter,
he's the king bailando et ritmo ragatanga,
and the dj that he knows well,
