I'm watching this now in 4K/Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos on my OLED display with 7.2.4 speaker setup. Loving it so far.
I’m gonna give it another viewing this weekend to see if I enjoy it more than I did in the theater. Perhaps it won’t feel as long as it did at my theatrical screening.I'm watching this now in 4K/Dolby Vision with Dolby Atmos on my OLED display with 7.2.4 speaker setup. Loving it so far.
Hell, I watch most of my long movies at home that way.I want to see it but it may take a while before I have 3.5 uninterrupted hours. I’m leaning towards waiting until I do rather than trying to split it into two or three chunks.
Then what was it about the de-aging process that bothered you?The de-aging bothered me. Right away, in the first few minutes of the film, where we see DeNiro driving the truck. I don't think it was the fault of the technology or knowing that it was not a representation of what the actor looked like when he was actually younger.

That's the right choice for this film.
There's one scene early on when Di Nero's character beats someone up, and it looked like someone in his 70s beating up someone younger than him.
That's more of a problem to me than anything else with the de-aging process. Those guys still moved liked old men even with the younger faces.I was going to mention that bit - it was so poorly done. His foot barely touches the guy. It was awkward to watch.

The timeline to some of those killings. How the WTC looked completed and operationalYeah, I noticed that scene too. That kick-down didn't look real.
Crawdaddy, what factual errors did you notice?
The timeline to some of those killings. How the WTC looked completed and operationalduring the Gallo killing when he died a full year before it opened.
I'm pretty sure most of the building was completed, but, the way it was lit up, you would think it was operational like it was 1979, and not 1972.Wow. I totally missed that. Didn't even notice the WTC in the background.
Ron,
After watching the entire movie, I didn't have an issue with the de-aging, but; those old dudes still moved like old dudes. The way they moved didn't match their ages in the movie.
Go to the 6:40 mark and Scorsese talks about the movements, etc...
