The next time we see Hulk on the big screen will be in "The Avengers". A sequel to "The Incredible Hulk" will probably depend largely on the reception to that film. It will be interesting if Norton returns to the role, since the original plan was for him to appear in "The Avengers" on top of a Hulk follow-up. Marvel may end up cutting their losses and recast the role.

According to one of the producers (Gale Anne Hurd?), Norton is contracted for a sequel, but I've read conflicting reports elsewhere.

I saw this again last night and really enjoy it. So I'm looking forward to a sequel.

I heard, shortly after The Incredible Hulk came out, that another sequel was not planned. I don't think that a Hulk sequel is needed. The Incredible Hulk's ending was perfect for leading into an Avenger movie. And if there is a sequel, I want a new villian, not the Abomination again.

Well, the movie certainly looked like it was putting the pieces in place for a sequel with The Leader (they didn't spend money on the effect of Tim Blake Nelson's head growing for nothing).

I would see a sequel, especially if Norton was involved. I thought the movie was good, and I liked the nods to the 70s TV show (which was the right way to do the character IMO).

What they need to do is go back to the comics. Start making the Hulk more talkative, changing his persona from film to film. Maybe tap into the Peter David days of Hulk as Joe Fixit, the gray Hulk.

The movies - both of them so far - were not close enough in spirit to the comics.

Forget the Bill Bixby TV show, which was never a proper reflection of the Hulk mags even when it was new.
