"The Immortal Battalion" aka "The Way Ahead" on TCM tonight! (1 Viewer)

Sorry for the late notice, but this showing kind of crept up on me. Anyhow, "The Way Ahead" an outstanding British War film directed by Carol Reed is being shown tonight on TCM. This showing is very rare indeed with the start time at 10:15 p.m. ET The film was released in this country as "The Lost Battalion" and I hope they show the British version which is about 25 minutes longer than the American version. The film starred David Niven, Stanley Holloway, James Donald, Trevor Howard his film debut, and Peter Ustinov who co-wrote the screenplay.

To bad. I don't know that I've ever gotten to see the British version.

On another note if you haven't seen the newer Lost Battalion movie with Rick Schroeder I thought it was quite well done.
