I was in a bad mood the other night and decided on a fly to cheer myself up by watching "Tall in the Saddle" on iTunes. It's an all-time favorite western of mine that always leaves a smile on my face. Man, I wish WA would release it on Blu-ray.

I watched the 4K/UHD of The Searchers on Saturday. A great looking 4K/UHD presentation. Most of us will be very happy with it. I will definitely watch it again during whatever month is voted on for this "Western Movie Challenge" to take place. Voting for which month is chosen, closes on this upcoming Saturday, December 28th.

Why, my personal list is concentrating on discs or digitals I haven’t watched yet? You can add The Cowboys to your list of film. It’s never been among my favorite Wayne movies.

Because you said this in the Western thread about The Cowboys

“To this day, he’s my favorite actor. I’m going to watch it again during our Western Challenge.”
I say so many things on this forum that I forget some of them. Anyhow, since I said it then I’ll watch it again. My preliminary list was just that preliminary. :)

I added two more westerns to my potential viewing list for next month. First one is "Hellgate" (1952) starring Hayden Sterling. I purchased the Vudu HD digital back in 2022 and never watched the movie. The second western is "Red Canyon" (1949) recommended by HTF member benbess which I recorded on Starz-Western channel last night.
