I bailed back in June. Was starting to feel like a slave to my collection and wasn't having as much fun watching movies. Good luck to everyone else though!

That's too bad. I started just to see how far I would get, no way will I finish my collection this year, maybe in 3-4 years. I think I may try again next year, but not work as hard at it.

The big problem came when I started playing my PS2 again. I got addicted to games and pretty much stopped watching movies. I've kept track on a checklist from dvd profiler and I have something like 110 left to watch. Not sure if I'll make it though. I'll probably try again next year!

414 watched through September, 287 still unwatched. I'll be glad when I'm finally caught up sometime next year, so I can go back to just watching for fun--I've seen lots of great movies this year, but trying to get through them all makes me kind of (ok very) compulsive about watching something every day. + = first time I've ever watched.

I've kicked of the 2005 Challenge in this thread here:

A little change up this year (assuming no one has any major objections. This year's challenge will run from December 15th, 2004 - December 15th, 2005. The thinking behind this is that some people recieve so many titles for Christmas, that we can't come close to watching them all from Christmas Day through December 31st. If this creates any problems, we can wait until Jan. 1st, but I think this will work a little better.
