...From the people who brought you "The HTF DVD Challenge 2k3"
    The HTF ANIME Challenge 2k4!

Last year a number of people watched their entire DVD collection from A to Z... this year I want people to be thinking less in terms of A to Z and more in terms of Ah! My Goddess to X:1999!

    1. The object of the challenge is to watch EVERY SINGLE ANIME TITLE and EXTRAs [if applicable] in your collection.
    3. Commentaries are optional (but encouraged).
    5. The CHALLENGE shall begin at 12:01am on January the 1st, 2004 and end at 11:59 on December the 31st, 2004.
    6. This is to track both theatrical and television series.

It's going to be harder for the seasoned Otaku with a DVD collection comprised mainly of anime than a casual viewer. I encourage even people with only a handful of titles to still participate though!... who's in? [IMG]

    Watched so far...
    The Twelve Kingdoms v.1
    The Vision of Escaflowne v.1
The Renewal of Neon Genesis Evangelion v.1 REGION 2

    Vandread v.3
    Last Exile v.2
    Cowboy Bebop - Session 1
    Cowboy Bebop - Session 2
    Kare Kano v.5
    X:1999
Lupin the 3rd and The Castle of Cagliostro
    Chance Pop Sessions v.1
    Super Gals v.1
    Chobits v.5

    Excel Saga v.2
    Chobits v.6
    Chobits v.7
    Banner of the Stars v.1
    Galaxy Angel v.1
    Tenchi GXP v.1

... now you guys can see how truely slow I watch anime. [IMG]

Sure, I'll jump in the challenge also! Sounds like it will be a load of fun.

Also, be sure to say if you want to recommend something you watched on my HTF Anime Recommendations List. [IMG]

I'm in, although it's not much of a challenge. I think I have maybe 20 - 30 titles at the most.

There are simply not enough hours in a year to begin thinking about this.

I'll be lucky if I have time to watch all the anime I haven't watched from LAST year.

Jeff, you are one of the 3 people that popped into my mind as "there's no way they could watch all their stuff in 1 year". (The other two are Chris Beverage and Kong Chang)

Hey, this challenge is the perfect thing I need.

Just last week, I decided to fully explore Anime. My collection basically consists of 10 anime movies that everyone has seen....but now I just updated my Netflix Queue and ordered a bunch of volumes.

So this coincides and its just perfect.

Hopefully, rentals count towards the challenge as they are not in *my* collection or anything.

    My list : Updated January 3rd, 2004

Blood: The Last Vampire [IMG] [IMG] 01/01/2004
Samurai X : Trust and Betrayal Director's Cut [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] 01/02/2004
Cowboy Bebop Session 1-5 [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] 01/03/2004

I'll join this =) I only have about 50 anime DVDs or so in my collection though but I bought the majority of those within the past year. Sounds fun, the only challenge would be getting through Slayers Try again when I just watched it for the third time recently. Save it for last I guess =)

Ugh, I think I'll skip the challenge. THose with little anime can go thru it easily. Someone like myself with 500 some anime DVDs...ugh...

I'll skip it, although I'll update you as to what I watched.

Today watched Samurai X : Trust and Betrayal Director's Cut [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] out of [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

Slow at times, but the payoff and setting is pretty solid.

Next up are : Cowboy Bebop Volume 1 and Berserk Volume 1 : War Cry
