Wow!! I loved last nights show. It really is beginning to show how devious people are. The two gay guys pulling that airport stunt....I woulda deckedem!!
I'm at the point where I like everybody else but them. They keep saying "we're playing them like a fiddle" ..REALLY BOYS?? After all, your knowledge of Europe, and the language you speak should have put you many hours, if not day ahead of everybody.....Fiddle EH!!
The two fatties(Sorry forget the names) have impressed me!!
I'll tell you, that sports car was GEORGEOUS!!
As long as the 2 gay guys don't win I'll be happy ... shoving a mother you morons!

Me and my wife were ready to rampage about the absoulte bull that team Guido pulled on last nights episode. Then to lie about it to Karen while waiting for the hoof to open! And, at the end to cry the blues about Kevin and Drew threatening them. Personally, I think the producers should penalize them for flat out trying to prevent other teams from getting to the goal.
Thoes two are just horrible people. I hope they screw up royally and end up off next leg.

Drew and Kevin and the Frat boys aka The Fatties as according to "Bert and Ernie" as labelled by Drew and Kevin.
I thought that the idea about paying the taxi to take them to the place was a great idea, Kudos to the couple that figured that out! Did you see the look of the daughter of the Mom and Daughter team (Nancy and Emily, I forget who is the daugher) when she was in the Pagani? Priceless!

I think team Guido will win. It seems that the best person or team never wins in a reality show.

I was amused by whichever contestant asked their driver "What kind of car is this?"... [IMG]
    Here's to paying attention...
Emily is the daughter, and last remaining hottie. Here's she and Nancy go far... [IMG]

As much as I hate team Guido, there always needs to be a villain in a "drama" and thus, I have to give team Guido props for giving us someone to root against (I thought it'd be Frank and Margarita, but they'd calmed down).
They need to find some warm weather climate for Emily. [IMG]

I'm rooting for the frat brothers from NY.
I hate team Guido. They get so upset when they come in second place, just imagine how they are going to react when they are eliminated.
Why wasn't anyone eliminated last night ?
Isn't that the point of each show, to eliminate one couple ?
BTW, the show is called The Amazing Race.

The way the show works it would be impossible to get days ahead. There are times in nearly every episode where teams get to a point where they cannot progress any further allowing other teams to catch up.
Yesterdays episode was another great one (for awhile it seemed to go good, not so good, good, not so good). Not having someone eliminated though was rather odd. They said that this was one of 3 legs where nobody would be eliminated didn't they? That seems strange (especially with only 6 teams left), and I hope the contestants knew this before the leg started (Lenny and Karen seemed too happy finishing last to not know).
I was wondering how they were going to sort out who would be eliminated with their "production difficulties" and the two teams not following the clue properly.
One thing that keeps amazing me is the willingness of people to drop what they're doing and guide these people to their destination. There was something like 4 times this episode when people actually took them to where they needed to go. Very impressive.

I wonder is there a maximum time for delay, like what if Team Guido was the only two to get off Tunisia before the other teams? I mean, if there was a strike and they couldn't leave til the next day which was a possibility before Drew and Kevin was able to snag a bunch of tickets for them and the 2 other teams.
Another episode with nobody using a fast forward! I wish they would explain their "production difficulties" more, what happened, the cameraman tripped?

If I were the producers, I'd make them all take a flight half way around the world, but bribe the production crew so that "production difficulties" force Team Guido to miss the only flight. To heck with time credits!

Another great show. I really like this series! I was blown away how those children on the streets of Delhi just seemed to 'stare right through to your soul' like one of the racers put it... and children and adults groping into the cars and the rickshaws... you hear that stuff goes on in the world, but it's shocking to witness, and I thought all the racers were shocked as well.
I liked how the fat bald guy almost didn't fit into the glider... heehee....
Is it me, or was the woman of the team that didn't win a little harsh in her final comments about the guy?? I mean we didn't see everything but come on that was a TAD over the top dont you think?

Seemingly the one team had no idea where the Taj Mahal was... Don't you'd think that some of these people would at least brush up on world geography? As well as the different languages of the world? As much as I hate team Guido, they seem to be the only ones who seem at all a bit prepared for this. It's kind of like the Survivor people having no clue how to make a fire!
I kind of wasn't too surprised about the children and stuff, I have a lot of Indian friends and they have told me stories of the like. It's like that in alot of the rural cities in China. Even though I am Chinese, just the way you dress and stuff, you're obviously a westerner.
All the teams must have been real tired, 4000 is quite a long flight! What do you think they saw on the plane? Planes, Trains, and Automobiles? [IMG]

    Another good show !
I was glad Lenny and Karen got eliminated.
I was tired of her bitch'in.
Lenny should have ripped into her at the end after she made him look like a fool.
Your better off without her Lenny, she's the type that is never satisfied and would have nagged you to death.
What was the advantage of doing the glider ?
Team Guido, who rode bikes were the 1st ones to arrive.
I'm glad Emily (.)(.) and Nancy made it but I think they will be out next.

Nancy and Emily ...... awesome [IMG]
I was soooo happy that they got to go on.
How could you not guess that you were going near the Taj Mahal. The mother was freaking out while the daugther was sittng at the cabs waiting ....hey girl, go back and get your daughter, ask her.
Most of the teams are there for the experience, but team Guido is there for a little "we are better than you"!

I get plenty of mileage mimicking Karyn in the office. I will miss Lenny doing his Karyn voice. That's about all I'll miss of that "couple".
I have to think that Mom and Emily will be next on the chopping block, but I'm hoping for a big time stumble from Team Greedo. I still laughed with the lawyers called them Bert and Ernie.

Cool! I am glad there is a discussion here. This show is waybetter than Survivor!
SOme one mentioned about the willingness of strangers to go out of their way ot help. I think part of that might be because each team has a camera crew tagging along. I think that just gives an air of "authority" or "necessity' or whatever.
As for the Taj Mahal, I actually think most of the teams ignored the little model and just read the piece of paper. Only Team Guido (whom I also hate) seemed to get it.
I think the glider option was simply not a faster option, just a more certain one.
The stress was really getting to some folks and they certainly weren't doing much to dispel the "Ugly American" image.
And I agree that Frank and Margherita seem to be becoming closer. Who knows? I actually kind of hope they win. But I whole heartedly agree that a warmer climate is need....for Emily's sake.
    I am rambling, I know.

this was yet again, another good episode.... I'm suprised Emily and the Guido didn't flinch when they went into the rat temple (or maybe edited for time at that point)..
best part was the preview for next weeks... fight for the fast forward between nancy and emily and team guido.. and a 'suprise ending'.... where you see peeks of both drew and kevin and rob and brennan alluding to something going wrong.....(perhaps for production value) but the only thing I can really think of as being a suprise for next week is perhaps whoever gets the fastforward...?? they dont guarantee first place ya know...
I found it wierd that they all have water and coke and everything... have you seen any coke machines in bikaner, india??
Nothing really stood out in this one... I would have liked to have seen it a little more 'spectacular' when they met the wise men and rode the elephant... I just think some of this stuff they're doing is really cool... and would like to see more of it. There were only a couple of shots of the elephant and both were from high above the pathway rather than down below to show 'grandeur' or whatever, and they kinda portray wisemen as guys sitting around passing out envelopes. (kidding)
I dont mean to harsh on the show, I think it's wonderful, and would like to do this myself.. it's like a huge scavenger hunt!! I love scavenger hunts. It could have used a host with more personality/popularity, but it's fine, and MUCH better than survivor, AND it's just starting when I get home from work when I work nights, at 10:00
and did you all see that bit emily said at the end about being 'conniving' and not knowing if her mom could handle it so she would have to step in and take control of situations requiring it? woah... MEOW!! I like it already!!

If they could get Emily in a Catwoman suit, I'd be sure to tune in! [IMG]
I can't imagine India's "Chamber of Commerce" being happy with how they have been portrayed on The Amazing Race. [IMG]
I'm glad the girls didn't get eliminated, but with the teaser "surprise ending" that the previews promised for the next episode is making hope that team Greedo does have a huge mis-step and gets eliminated!
I'm convinced the fast forward pass should only be used in the late rounds becuase with the way they do the destinations, even with an 11 hour lead, Frank and Margarita had to waste it by sleeping in the cold waiting for the Taj Mahal (or any other landmark to open. This has happened to the other pairs that used the FF pass as well in the past.
