Yes, indeed. I do miss the Good Place neighborhood, and it was great to see it again.
I heard that when the neighborhood closed, they started shooting porn there.
I liked that someone on the writing staff clearly has it in for Arizona, from the Jeff Foxworthy-book being the entirety of the Poetry section in the library, to the Bible being the only book in the Sex-Ed section.
They've poked fun at Australia, Florida, and Nevada this season so no reason Arizona should be left out.
I'm surprised no one has commented on last night's episode yet. Since no one else has, I'm going to refrain from discussing specifics just yet, but damn if they didn't just blow up the whole show again, and I have no idea what's next.
The show was just starting to spin its wheels, so I was happy to see them move on to the next thing.
Loved Michael McKean as the middle-aged Doug, though.
Here's a good interview with Mike Schur, but don't read it until after you've seen last night's show: https://www.thedailybeast.com/the-good-place-creator-mike-schur-on-the-next-phase-of-the-show-and-why-hed-still-work-with-aziz-ansari
I don’t know if “sitcom” is really the right category for The Good Place, but it’s pretty rare to see an action scene done that well in a sitcom. Well done and fun at the same time.
Loved seeing Janet as a badass. The improvised pool game was a riot.
Best ep of the season.
Michael McKean, an awesome fight-scene, Jacksonville-style "pool," and a return to our beloved weirdness. Great stuff. The constant change-ups are exhilarating.
Plus, "The Puking Moose Saloon."
BTW, here's the rest of the cast teaching Ted Danson how to floss-dance:
Loved the "Lost" homage introduction for Doug Forcett, complete with a waking-up eyeball closeup and a Mama Cass Elliot song.
