Does anyone know if there is going to be a Anamorphic transfer of the movie "The Game?"

I had heard rumors of Criterion possibly releasing this film with the special supplements from their laserdisc set.

Am I wrong?

There was another thread discussing this, and the last post stated:

I just got an answer from Jon Mulvaney at CC, they will not be releasing The Game on CC any time soon

If you have a multi-region player and can play PAL discs, you could import the region 2 disc, with anamorphic widescreen and Dolby 5.1 surround. The only extra is a trailer, though.
