We've known for a few years now that making arguments, pro or con, based on Steve Jobs' absolutes is a fruitless endeavor.

Well of course he was wrong. But that doesn't mean he didn't say those things. So much for "conviction".

He had conviction for about 5(?) years, until Apple released a video-capable iPod.

That begs the question: How long are convictions supposed to last? That iphone 5 commercial with the "perfect size for the human hand" is what, two years old?

I have smaller hands so the iPhone 5 IS the perfect size for my hands.

What is also unknown: would Apple have released the iPhone 6+ absent market pressure from 5"+ Android phones?

Seriously? Clearly not a question that needs to be asked. Both the iPhone 6 Plus and iPad Mini were cases of Apple returning the favor to Samsung. You'd have to have your head really far up Tim Cook's ass to say otherwise.

An Iphone owner says "gee, I like it because it's more like an Iphone!". What a surprise.

Samsung is lucky they pulled Joanna instead of Walt.

BTW Sam, "software sucks" is entirely your embellishment.

One phone just caught Apple? I thought Apple had been playing catch up the last couple years?

For some people, the worth of a phone is measured by how few the differences are between it an and an Iphone.

I gave my opinion on the question. Which is different from actually knowing the answer.

Given Apple's previous pronouncements about the wonderfulness and perfection of 3.5 and 4 inch screens, I think your September statement was simply acknowledging reality.

"The user experience is where the Galaxy S6 still struggles against the iPhone and even Android phones, like the Moto X and Nexus 6."

"the styling of the operating system isn’t nearly as polished as stock Android 5.0. On top of that, Samsung’s keyboard seemed to hate my fingers, constantly inserting typos. A phone this beautiful deserves equally beautiful software."

BTW, I've ordered an Edge and look forward to giving it an in depth look. The reviews convinced me!

I fail to see where Joanna wrote "software sucks" or anything like that. Like I said, that is your embellishment.

It appears that the cherry on top of all the topsy turvy things, you will probably be reviewing the S6 before me.
