Well, here's an interesting story about ABC walking away from the negotiations for the TV rights to the BCS games. I'm curious what this will mean for college football in HD.

To date, I have been very unimpressed with ABC's effort to bring us college football in HD. Maybe Fox could do a better job.

Your thoughts...

In the end, I think this is a good thing for all, because ABC has also been an uninspiring leader to make needed changes in the BCS. (ie, turn two of the games into a playoff for a final game)

Dave --

What games in HD? I can't believe how bad ABC has been about broadcasting the college games in HD. I can count on ESPN pretty consistently for Thursday, but that's about it. ABC has been an advocate of HD, so it's really frustrating to not see them support it on something as popular as college football.

I feel that way about a lot of things though, to be honest. I know it's more expensive, so that keeps the numbers down, but it would peak my interst in more things. I'd watch Nascar if it was in HD all the time, just for the feel of the track, but I guess that would be too difficult for the number of cameras they use. But really, is there any excuse to not have the basics in HD? I mean football, baseball, and basketball (which I don't watch) should be in HD all the time!
