I can not even begin to state how much I want to see this happen!
What if it was SE only in 4K and the same uprezzed 360p master for the OOT?
Oy, talk about shoving in the knife and twisting it!
Just illustrating the risks of what we might get if Smell-O-Vision actually came to Star Wars.
This popped up on my radar today.
Wasn’t sure where to post it but this seemed like a good spot.....
Rare lost 1980 documentary for the empire strikes back!!
**Please include the original non-SE version. Please include the original non-SE version**
Thank you so much for sharing, I'm going to make time to watch this tonight!
One thing I'll say, saw 20 seconds of the opening of the video and was astounded at seeing all the practical props and sets. And re-watching the OOT through...various means...I'm struck at how well those effects have held up over time.
I’d like to know more about the documentary and why it is so rare too.
Loved seeing Ratzenberger at like a minute in!
So does anyone know why the film was never released?
Also if there is a special edition version?
I haven’t had a chance to looking in my making of empire strikes back book by jw rinzler...
I'm 90% sure I saw this or a bunch of the same clips on an ABC special a few weeks after release.
I've hear that at the Mos Eisley cantina, every one knows his name.
More rumors flying about....
The films are getting another reissue on blu ray this year with new covers.
Rumored UHd box set release when rise of skywalker comes to video in 2020.....
Maybe early 2020 with the last skywalker??
box se of all 11 films??
If they did that - and it's a massive "if" - I'd think a box would come out late 2020.
Release E9 on its and then do a series-spanning box in the fall for holiday sales.
I'd be surprised to see a box that included "Solo" and "R1". I'd expect it to stick with the 3 trilogies...
If the unaltered versions are not included, it's an easy pass for me.
I need the original movies in 4k UHD no matter what version
Time will tell.
I actually think it will be all 11 films. The rumor was only se of the originals. I’m fine with that.
I understand that the best way to release them would be to include all cuts and original theatrical audio tracks as well.
I think we will hear something when the rise of skywalker appears on blu ray in March or so...
It seems weird to include Rogue One and Solo along with the trilogies but it also seems weird to have RO be the only SW movie not released in 4K too.
