I just bought the 4K release on iTunes, sight unseen. Who knows if it'll ever get a 4K UHD disk release from Fox.
Exactly why I bought it too DougI just bought the 4K release on iTunes, sight unseen. Who knows if it'll ever get a 4K UHD disk release from Fox.
Hope you like it as much as some of us do.I'm really looking forward to seeing this film.
Snow Day so I’m about to watch it with the wife.
Will she agree with me or Terry and his wife. I honestly don’t know on this one.
Stay tuned.......
Well, what did you think?I think that my wife and I just might be watching this for the first time on Valentines Day.
Per your request Tino, here are my thoughts... Well, it's certainly an interesting experiment of a film. The trailer made it look like it was going to be a sassy comedy, which it most certainly was not! It wasn't a very pleasant experience, nor was it meant to be. Yorgos Lanthimos was going for a disorienting effect (maybe to mimic Queen Anne's various medical conditions?) From the droning music score to the hallucinogenic distorted camera lens effect and even the unreadable end credits! He was going for something completely non-traditional and to that end I suppose he achieved his aim, but man was it a chore to slog through it.Only one person in this thread didn’t like it. I wouldn’t say that’s polarizing. Please check in here after you see it. I preordered it too and can’t wait to watch it again this Tuesday with my wife.
Interesting. What made you think the film was an “experiment.” ? That’s a strange description implying that the director didn’t know exactly what he was doing.Well, it's certainly an interesting experiment of a film.
I meant experimental as in using nontraditional and peculiar film techniques.Interesting. What made you think the film was an “experiment.” ? That’s a strange description implying that the director didn’t know exactly what he was doing.

C’mon Doug. Which side are you coming over to?We ended up watching Bohemian Rhapsody last night (loved it!), so I won't get around to watching this until tonight or tomorrow.
