    Buena Vista Home Entertainment has just announced The English Patient: Special Edition as the next Miramax Collector's Edition DVD.

    Due on June 29th, the film arrives with a new 1.85 anamorphic transfer, Dolby Digital 5.1 sound, an audio commentary with director Anthony Minghella, a second commentary with cast & crew, "A Passionate Journey" making-of featurette, deleted scenes, a featurette on novelist Michael Ondaatje, Conversations with producer Saul Zaentz, Minghella and Ondaatje, film reviews and theatrical trailers.

    Retail will be $29.99.

    One of the few recent Best Picture winners I've yet to see :b Well here's another one to cross off the list. Thankfully it's not another May title...

    About time!!! I've been waiting for this film to be done right since I first got into DVD. One of my all-time favourite films....I really can't wait to have this one in my collection![​IMG]

    I declared myself an official Juliette Binoche fan about the time Chocolat came out. I had not yet seen English Patient. Embarrassingly, I have yet to see a number of her French-language films.
