I read over at www.digitalbits.com that Universal is releasing "The Dream Team" on DVD July 1. Would this be the same film that starred Michael Keaton as one of a group of mental patients on the loose in New York? www.dvdempire.com has it on pre-order but lists the film's rating as PG but from a recent Yahoo search, the movie is PG-13. However, amazon.com's listing for the VHS has Universal as the studio so perhaps it *is* the right film. I hope it is anyway.

Peter Boyal is a scream in this film! Two of my fav lines of his...

"I fear my doctor may have been siezed by the Romans!"

"I'm a friend to all men. We've come for your money Ed."

Hell yeah! :)

Anyone FIND this DVD yet?

Just like other recent Universal catalog releases on-the-cheap (Money Pit, Best Little Whorehouse, Continental Divide, etc.) it seems that noone is carrying it on release date.

I'll keep an eye on Borders for this one; they got in the others fastest. Wal-Mart and Best Buy were the runners-up.

I love this film! Good stuff. Michael, did you notice my film quote at the top of the Weekly Roundup for 7/1 was taken from this film? :)

I'm keeping an eye for both this and Brighton Beach Memoirs (finally available in OAR!)

I'll probably have to order both online.

Since some of these titles aren't put on any B&M shelves on release date their discount value is 'pretty safe' for awhile. It may actually be more strongly discounted after a few months. At any rate, this title falls into the same category as 'Unstrung Heroes'. This one will have to wait for funds to become more available seeing that the 'DVD Budget' is very thin after the last few months.

Pre-ordered mine from DVDEmpire since I had to hunt for Mdnight Run and Oppurtunity Knocks last month. Haven't watched it yet though. This is the 2nd to last movie I needed on DVD that I still only had on VHS. Unfortunately, the other one I need is not out in OAR (The Paper with Michael Keaton). I wish Universal would get that, Kindergarten Cop and Parenthood out in OAR-I'd buy them all in a heartbeat.

Anyone have the widescreen R2 or R4 of the Paper? Any good?
