Since Miramax also owns the rights to The Double Life of Veronique , and since their Three Colors box set was the 7th best-selling DVD on Amazon.com last week, I expect this will encourage them to release Veronique in short order. *fingers crossed*

Just being newly introduced to Kieslowski via the Three Colors Trilogy I will definitely purchase this one blind!

I dunno. Veronique wasn't nearly the art-house sensation Trois Couleurs was, I don't think. It may be harder to find/create good video elements, too. Complicating matters is the fact that Paramount released Veronique on both VHS and laserdisc. Have those rights reverted to Miramax?

I have a hunch Miramax owns the rights now, simply because snippets of The Double Life of Veronique are in some of the Three Colors supplemental materials.

Does Miramax still have the rights? Or are they tied up with other companies?

Most of those early (pre-Disney) Miramax titles released by HBO or Paramount have never been released on DVD, except for CINEMA PARADISO.
