In case you haven't heard about it, the DISCover is a PC console. It pretty much installs PC games automatically onto it's HDD and runs them as though it were a console. There's two versions: one is a $300 OK version, and the other is a $700 souped up version.

Personally, I like the idea. I don't play PC games because they require a good PC, but with this I could play pretty much all the games I'd care about (and I think it might go online too).

Morgan, you can build a very good PC for $700, (a lot better than theirs). You should try it =)

I feel that this needs TIVO-like functions to succeed. I think a hybrid HTPC-TIVO-gaming box would be very well recieved, and is a good idea. Provided it is built properly to be rock-stable.

I just got a new job (working at a movie theater, yes!) and I'm hoping to make a good amount of money soon, but if I wanted a really good PC I'd go for top of the line or nothing. This thing (if it works) is more like what I'd get instead.

Then again, most PC games get console ports anyway.
