Just make sure you do online research first to make sure whichever one you get is a "native" 120hz panel (very important!) as manufacturers aren't always forthcoming with that info.

Love your cover art, Dave! Your tagline for Mrs. Dilber's included "FOR REACHING IT OUT" line had me in stitches! :)

However, realistically speaking, I think we'll be lucky if Renown corrects poor Hermione's "Badly" misspelled surname for their Blu-ray release, whenever that hits the streets! :P

Industry sources report that Sir Anthony Hopkins - who mimics Kathleen Harrison's (Mrs Dilber) voice perfectly - has agreed to dub her missing line for the long-anticipated RAH 4K restoration.

In other reports, studio insiders are quietly confident that the 4K UHD disc of A Christmas Carol will restore consumer faith in the much-maligned format... as well as faith generally.

Mysteries Of SCROOGE: A CHRISTMAS CAROL #1951-01:

Why the newest and brightest Blu-ray version of SCROOGE '51 by VCI doesn't include Mrs. Dilber's "For reaching it out" dialogue, even though the much older, not quite as bright Emerald Edition DVD does?

That's for the DVD, but what about the Blu-ray? Is this Region B or Region Free?

Don't get too excited, guys. I was told by Renown via Twitter last month that this had been postponed and the 2K restoration would only be made available on DVD this year and the Blu-ray was TBA at a later date. Against my better judgement I got excited when I saw that it was in stock at Movie Mail and placed an order on November 2nd. Ever since then my order status has been showing up as being on back order and shipping in 5-7 days. Zavvi took down their preorder listing for this a few weeks back. Hopefully we'll see the Renown Blu-ray next year.

While youse guys wait on Renown...

I picked this up at a local store (FYE) for just $8.99 ($9.99 minus 10% Backstage Pass discount).

Since Crawdaddy watched the '51 version last year, I decided I should give equal time to his favorite, and watch the '38 version, this year. I haven't seen it since I was very young.

So what about this DVD, also with a November 2, 2015 release date? Is that the one that's actually going to be available?

Amazon UK is showing that as having a November 23 release date. I've preordered it. I have the VCI Blu-ray, of course, but actually lost it (don't ask! lol). So instead of replacing it this year I'll check out the new Renown DVD.

I just think the hope and lure "For Reaching It Out" is just too powerful a temptation to resist! ;)

Speaking of which, it appears a certain "Renowned" item has just reentered my Christmas wish radar!
