I was just scrolling down and... must've got confused.
Yeah, it's the exact same transfer - a very good transfer of a film that has always looked weak on VHS/TV and apparently, Laserdisc before. Amp freaks may moan at the lack of 5.1 track, but the stereo track sounds good to me. I can't seem to find info, but the film may have had 70mm/6-track engagements in selected cinemas.
Canal Plus, who own this and many other films in Britain/Europe put out some great films on good/great DVDs and they are distributed by Warner, but they don't seem to have a proper website that lists upcoming titles. Seeing as they seem to venturing into full-on SE 2-disc DVDs, it would be great to see what they have in store for the future.
